The Base
A stress-reliving game for anxiety
The Base is a role immersive playing game that allows users to take a break from their stressful daily life. In the game, users can block complex information from the outside world and only need to focus on a simple game system, and obtain the realization and satisfaction of self-worth by completing simple tasks and returning with huge feedback.
Duration: 8 weeks

Research
The current society with rapid economic and technological development is accompanied by competition that will become more and more fierce, which increase the pressure they will face from their external environment. We are gradually unable to regulate our mood.

Problem:
- How can young people manage their stress?
- How can we reduce the negative that is brought by pressure from work?
Analysis
Why in-door activities are preferred?
1. Get self-recognition and accomplishment
Through relatively simple steps, people can focus on their realization of self-recognition and accomplishment.
2. Get relief from overwhelmed information
People need to block countless unnecessary outside information that will cause them anxiety.
3. Get mental relax
Solo indoor activities provide them a relaxing world that relief their pressure.


Interview Insights
Anxiety comes to me in various forms at different times and places. For example, I feel anxious because I am worried about missing information on Wechat.

1. Build a relaxing gaming environment that is convenient to carry
Games can bring people, especially young people who are the most difficult to adjust themselves under pressure, and a relaxed and happy environment allows them to relax. When people are immersed in a relaxing game world, their bodies and mind will be relaxed.
2. Make an immersive AR gaming world
When people are immersed in the game world, the voices from the external world will not interfere with them. Thus, they will pay more attention to their own needs, get satisfaction through the game and relax completely.
3. Simple gaming rule with large achievement
In the game, users can block complex information from the outside world and only need to focus on a simple game system, and obtain the realization and satisfaction of self-worth by completing simple tasks and returning with huge feedback.
